Greg Boyd is a former atheist who surrendered his life to Christ in 1974. He graduated with honors from Yale Divinity School and Princeton Theological Seminary. Greg was a professor of theology for 16 years at Bethel University and is the founder and senior pastor of Woodland Hills Church, an evangelical megachurch in St. Paul, MN. While often known for his dynamic and persuasive speaking style, Greg is also an internationally recognized theologian, highly skilled apologist, and best selling author. He has published 15 books and numerous academic articles, including his best-selling and award-winning Letters From a Skeptic and his most recent Myth of a Christian Nation . Greg’s ministry is a unique blend of passion, boldness, and intellectual insight. His strong defenses of open theism, the warfare worldview, the separation of the Church and politics, social activism and the destructive nature of religion have been highly controversial in evangelical circles but have had a transforming impact on countless lives. Greg’s ministry has been featured on the front page of The New York Times, Charlie Rose , National Public Radio, BBC and numerous other television and radio venues. His main passion is to help the Church become the kingdom of outrageous loving servants God called it to be, and to help non-believers discover the truth and transforming power of Jesus Christ.
